Project examples
Students can complete a substantial consulting project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.
Students in Colorado State University Global's Human Resource Management program can complete projects for a range of areas. Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and edit employee handbooks or manuals, including, but not limited to Employee Handbooks, WHMIS manuals, OH&S manuals, policy and procedures.
- Assess people analytics to increase employee engagement.
- Create and analyze employee learning and development opportunities to transition to the post Covid-19.
- Research best practices and trends to increase the people part of the equation.
- Apply change management framework for the human resources team within your organization.
Task examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Recruitment/Talent Acquisition
- Researching post COVID-19 trends for recruiting and selection initiatives
- Creating job postings
- Screening applicants for a position, which may include reference checking
- Organizing and participating in interviews
- Training and Development
